I began to learn the piano at 7 years of age and performed at piano concerts arranged by my tutors, and at the Highland Music Festival where I gained merit awards and enjoyed playing for the public. I have twelve years experience in teaching both adults and children the Pianoforte.
I have a BA Honours degree in Music and I am currently studying a PGDE in Secondary Music at Aberdeen University. I will begin a DipABRSM in Instrumental Teaching in due course. I put pupils forward for for the Aberdeen Music Festival (NESPA) every year and I perform as a singer in a local Aberdeen band. I have a passion for teaching and helping people to learn new skills at their own pace.
I also have a BSc honours degree in Forensic Science with Law (2008), and in 2011 I graduated with a Masters (MSc) degree in Instrumental Analytical Sciences specialising in DNA analysis, Proteomics and Metabolomics. I have experience working in laboratory analysis and in providing patient care. I have a great interest in both science and music .
